Feeding Therapy

Overcome Selective Eating

Selective feeding disorders are common in children with autism. Meal times can seem daunting and overwhelming when your child has adverse reactions to specific food types. Food selectivity can cause inadequate nutrition, reduced growth, and inability to sustain weight.

Our
ABA consulting services include feeding therapy treatments for children with selective feeding disorders. As many as 70 to 89 percent of children with developmental disabilities experience severe feeding difficulties that can't be addressed by pediatricians. Through evidence-based behavioral treatment, we help your child begin to accept non-preferred foods and decrease inappropriate mealtime behavior. We take a multi-disciplinary approach when assessing and treating a selective feeding disorder, partnering with your child's pediatrician, pediatric gastroenterologist, and occupational therapist.

Your child's safety comes first. We rule out all possible medical explanations that could be responsible for your child's selective eating. Then, we create a goal-focused ABA therapy plan for your child to begin overcoming picky or selective eating.
