Parent Training

Own the Process

At Breakthrough Autism, we know that lasting and meaningful change comes when we engage the entire family. These training sessions allow us to equip you with the tools to support your child and provide them with consistency throughout their entire day, not just when they are in ABA therapy!

We conduct parent training on a weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly basis depending on your family’s
ABA therapy program. In our initial parent meeting, we review the child's progress, walk parents through their child's data, and then discuss changes, recommendations, or concerns. The BCBA will model how to implement the strategies with the child, coach the parent on how to implement the strategy, and provide feedback. The goal of parent training is to reduce the dependence upon professionals and increase independence within the family structure.

Breakthrough Autism is one of many
resources for parents of children with autism. You’re not alone in this journey, and it’s important to surround yourself with support and care. If you’d like to talk with us about parent training strategies, please feel free to reach out to us. We’re happy to help!
